The head coach of the 2006 Dallas Cowboys football team was Bill Parcells.
Bill Parcells is a former American football head coach, executive, and television commentator. He was born on August 22, 1941, and began his coaching career as a linebackers coach for Army in 1964. He went on to serve as a defensive coordinator for several NFL teams before being named head coach of the New York Giants in 1983. Parcells is widely regarded as one of the greatest coaches in NFL history, having won two Super Bowls with the Giants and leading the New England Patriots and the New York Jets to the playoffs during his tenure with those teams as well. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2013.
In 2006, Bill Parcells was the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. The team finished with a 9-7 record, which was not enough to make the playoffs. The team had a strong defense that year, finishing the season ranked 5th in points allowed per game. The offense, however, struggled at times, ranking only 14th in points scored per game. The team relied heavily on running back Julius Jones, who rushed for 1,084 yards and 4 touchdowns that season.
In 2006, Bill Parcells was the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. The team's offense was led by quarterback Tony Romo, who had taken over the starting role midway through the season. The Cowboys' offense in 2006 was primarily focused on the running game, with running back Marion Barber and fullback Oliver Hoyte leading the way. The team also had talented receivers in Terrell Owens and Terry Glenn, but their production was somewhat limited due to the emphasis on the running game. Parcells' offense style was characterized by a balanced approach, with a strong focus on ball control and minimizing turnovers.
