1991 Georgetown College Run and Shoot Offense - Red Faught

Red Faught was the offensive coordinator for Georgetown College's football team in 1991.

Red Faught was an American football coach who served as the head coach at Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky, from 1982 to 2000. During his tenure, he transformed the Georgetown College football program into one of the most successful NAIA programs in the country, leading the team to three NAIA national championships, 14 Mid-South Conference championships, and 16 appearances in the NAIA playoffs. Faught retired with a career record of 218–119–5. He passed away in 2019 at the age of 77.

Red Faught is regarded as one of the most successful coaches in Georgetown College's football history. During his time as head coach, he led the team to a record of 143 wins, 74 losses, and 5 ties due in large part to his version of the run and shoot offense. He also won 10 conference championships and made 7 NAIA playoff appearances.

Red Faught's offense at Georgetown College in 1991 was known for its high-scoring and explosive nature. Faught employed a wide-open passing attack that relied heavily on the talents of his quarterback, Bill Cronin. The offense was known for its use of multiple formations and frequent shifts, as well as its ability to spread the ball around to a number of different receivers. Georgetown College finished the 1991 season with a record of 7-3, and averaged 32.3 points per game.
