1997 Frankfurt Galaxy - Ray Woodard

The defensive coordinator for the 1997 Frankfurt Galaxy football team was Ray Woodard. He was a longtime NFL assistant coach who had previously served as the defensive coordinator for the Cleveland Browns and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Woodard's defense was known for its aggressiveness and its ability to pressure the quarterback. The Galaxy finished the 1997 season ranked 2nd in the NFL Europe in total defense.
