Carson-Newman Eagles Offense (1994)
Mike Turner was the offensive coordinator for the 1994 Carson-Newman Eagles. He had previously served as the offensive coordinator for the Eagles from 1987 to 1992, before leaving to become the head coach at Science Hill High School. He returned to Carson-Newman in 1994 and would go on to become the head coach of the program in 2016.
Turner's offense was known for its balance and its ability to score points. In 1994, the Eagles averaged 34.2 points per game, which was the second-most in the South Atlantic Conference. The Eagles also had a 1,000-yard rusher in running back Ronnie Harris, and they had three receivers who caught over 500 yards.
The 1994 Carson-Newman Eagles football team was a very successful team. They finished the season with a record of 10-1, and they won the South Atlantic Conference championship. The Eagles also advanced to the NCAA Division II playoffs, where they lost in the quarterfinals.
