Detroit Lions Mini Camp Run Game (1998) - Sylvester Croom
The 1998 Detroit Lions were a professional American football team that competed in the National Football League (NFL) as a member of the Central Division. The team played its home games at the Pontiac Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan. The Lions were led by head coach Bobby Ross and offensive coordinator Sylvester Croom.
Sylvester Croom was the offensive coordinator of the 1998 Detroit Lions. He was a well-respected coach who was known for his ability to develop talented running backs. In 1998, Croom was tasked with turning around the Lions' offense, which had struggled in previous years. Croom implemented a new offensive scheme that was designed to feature Barry Sanders, one of the best running backs in NFL history.
Croom's new offensive scheme was a success, and the Lions' offense ranked among the best in the NFL in 1998. Sanders rushed for over 2,000 yards and 16 touchdowns in 1998, and he was named the NFL MVP.
The run game is a fundamental part of American football. It is used to control the clock, move the ball down the field, and set up the pass. The run game can also be used to exploit defensive weaknesses and create big plays.
