Coach Bill Yeoman was the coach of the 1975 Houston Option football team.

Bill Yeoman was a highly successful football coach who coached at the University of Houston for 25 years. He is credited with inventing the Houston Veer offense, also known as the Houston Option, which revolutionized college football. He won 160 games during his tenure and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2001.

Bill Yeoman's teams at Houston were highly successful during his tenure, and the 1975 team was one of his best. That year, the team went 10-2 and won the Southwest Conference championship. They also played in the Cotton Bowl Classic, where they lost to the #1-ranked Texas Longhorns.

Bill Yeoman's offense at Houston, known as the Houston Veer or Houston Option, was a highly effective and innovative pro style offense. It featured a triple-option attack with the quarterback and running backs making quick decisions based on the defense's movements. In 1975, the offense averaged 32.5 points per game and was led by quarterback Danny Davis, who threw for 1,139 yards and 12 touchdowns and rushed for 600 yards and 11 touchdowns.
