The offensive coordinator for the 1990 Bowling Green Falcons football team was Gregg Brandon. He was in his first season with the Falcons, and he would go on to become the head coach of the team in 2003.
Under Brandon's leadership, the Falcons' offense averaged 22.9 points per game in 1990. This was a slight improvement over the previous season, when the Falcons averaged 21.0 points per game.
The 1990 Bowling Green Falcons football team was an American football team that represented Bowling Green State University in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) during the 1990 NCAA Division I-A football season.
In their fifth and final season under head coach Moe Ankney, the Falcons compiled a 3–5–2 record (2–4–2 against MAC opponents), finished in sixth place in the MAC, and were outscored by all opponents by a combined total of 163 to 138.
Gregg Brandon's offense for the 1990 Bowling Green Falcons was a pro-style offense that emphasized running the ball and short-to-medium passing. The Falcons' running game was led by quarterback Mike Skinner, who rushed for 454 yards and two touchdowns in 1990. Skinner was also the Falcons' leading passer, throwing for 2,237 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Brandon's offense also featured a number of talented receivers, including Chris Smith (42 receptions, 631 yards, 5 touchdowns) and Doug Miller (27 receptions, 369 yards, 2 touchdowns). The Falcons' receivers were able to create separation from the defense and catch the ball in traffic, which made the Falcons' passing game very effective.
