1996 Minnesota Vikings - Foge Fazio

Foge Fazio was a football coach who had a long and successful career in the NFL. He served as a defensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons, the San Diego Chargers, and the Minnesota Vikings.

Fazio was born in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, in 1939. He played college football at Boston University, where he was a two-time All-American. After college, Fazio played briefly in the NFL for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Fazio began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Boston University. He then moved on to the NFL, where he served as an assistant coach for the Falcons, the Chargers, and the Vikings. Fazio was the defensive coordinator for the Vikings from 1995 to 1999.

Foge Fazio was the defensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings in 1996. He helped the Vikings win the NFC Central division title and finish with a 10-6 record.

Foge Fazio's tenure as the defensive coordinator for the 1996 Minnesota Vikings is marked by his strategic defensive approach. Fazio implemented a defensive formation known as the 4-3 defense, which played a crucial role in the team's performance that season.
