Mike Yurcich was the offensive coordinator of the 2014 Oklahoma State football team.

Mike Yurcich is a football coach who has served as an offensive coordinator for several college football teams. He was born on October 5, 1966, in Euclid, Ohio. Yurcich played college football at California University of Pennsylvania, where he was a quarterback. After his playing career ended, Yurcich began his coaching career at New Hampshire, where he served as an offensive coordinator from 2005 to 2010.

Yurcich gained widespread recognition for his work as the offensive coordinator at Oklahoma State from 2013 to 2018. During his time there, he helped lead the team to some of the most successful seasons in program history. His offenses were known for their high-powered passing attacks and prolific scoring. Yurcich was named a finalist for the Broyles Award, which is given annually to the top assistant coach in college football, in 2017.

In 2019, Yurcich left Oklahoma State to become the offensive coordinator at Ohio State. He spent one season with the Buckeyes before leaving to become the offensive coordinator at Texas in 2020.

Mike Yurcich was the offensive coordinator at Oklahoma State from 2013-2018. In the 2014 season, the team finished with a record of 7-6 and played in the Cactus Bowl. The offense was led by quarterback Daxx Garman and wide receiver James Washington, who both had productive seasons. The Cowboys averaged 27.6 points per game and 406.8 total yards per game, with a balanced attack of 190.7 passing yards per game and 216.1 rushing yards per game.

Mike Yurcich's offense style at Oklahoma State was a variation of the Air Raid offense. This is a pass-heavy offensive scheme that relies on quick, short passes and emphasizes spreading the field with multiple wide receivers. The quarterback is typically in the shotgun formation and makes quick decisions based on the defensive coverage. The Air Raid offense was originally developed by coaches Hal Mumme and Mike Leach and has been widely used in college football since the 1990s. Yurcich's version of the Air Raid offense at Oklahoma State was highly effective, with the team finishing as one of the top scoring offenses in the country during his tenure.
