Bob Reade was the coach for the 1991 Augustana Vikings football team. He was the head coach at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois from 1979 to 1994, compiling a record of 146–23–1.

Reade was known for his innovative offensive schemes and his ability to develop quarterbacks. He helped to lead the Vikings to several conference championships and NCAA playoff appearances during his time at Augustana.

The 1991 Augustana Vikings football team was a very successful team. They finished the season with a record of 11–2 and advanced to the NCAA Division III semifinals. They were led by quarterback John Jansen, who was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Player of the Year.

The Vikings' offense was one of the best in the country in 1991. They averaged 38.2 points per game, which was ranked 9th in the nation. They were led by Jansen, who threw for 3,230 yards and 30 touchdowns. The Vikings also had a good running game, led by running back Mark Anderson, who rushed for 1,200 yards and 15 touchdowns.

The Vikings' defense was also very good in 1991. They allowed just 12.7 points per game, which was ranked 14th in the nation. They were led by linebacker Todd Willer, who was named to the All-American team.
