Idaho Vandals Offense (1992) - Scott Linehan

In 1992, the Idaho Vandals boasted one of the most explosive offenses in the highly competitive Big Sky Conference. Their prolific performance included an average of over 35 points per game and an impressive tally of over 40 points in six games throughout the season. Leading this offensive juggernaut was quarterback Marc Bulger, who showcased his prowess by amassing over 3,000 passing yards and delivering 25 touchdown passes. Bulger's versatility was on full display as he also rushed for more than 500 yards, adding five rushing touchdowns to his impressive stat sheet.

At the helm of this high-powered offense was the astute offensive coordinator, Scott Linehan. A former Idaho quarterback who had once donned the Vandals' jersey from 1982 to 1986, Linehan took charge as the offensive coordinator in 1991, guiding the Vandals' offense for two fruitful seasons.

The cornerstone of the Vandals' offensive strategy in 1992 was the utilization of a dynamic spread offense that prioritized an aerial assault. This offensive approach aimed to stretch opposing defenses thin, creating favorable matchups for Idaho's talented receiving corps.

Theus, in particular, led the charge with an astounding 55 receptions for 1,000 yards and an impressive 12 touchdowns. Holman and Miller also contributed significantly, each amassing over 500 receiving yards.
