Los Angeles Raiders Offense (1992) - Art Shell
The 1992 Los Angeles Raiders were an American football team that competed in the National Football League (NFL) during the 1992 NFL season. The team finished the season with a record of 7-9, and did not qualify for the playoffs.
The Raiders were led by head coach Art Shell, who was in his first season with the team. Shell was a former offensive lineman for the Raiders, and he was a member of the team's Super Bowl-winning teams in 1977, 1981, and 1983.
The Raiders' offense was led by quarterback Jeff Hostetler, who threw for 3,128 yards and 18 touchdowns. Running back Marcus Allen rushed for 1,070 yards and 11 touchdowns. Wide receiver Tim Brown caught 74 passes for 1,017 yards and 8 touchdowns.
The Raiders started the season with a 28-14 win over the New England Patriots. They then won their next two games, defeating the Kansas City Chiefs and the Seattle Seahawks. The Raiders lost their next four games, before defeating the Denver Broncos. The Raiders then lost their next three games, before defeating the San Diego Chargers. The Raiders lost their regular season finale against the Houston Oilers.
The 1992 Los Angeles Raiders were a young and inexperienced team. The team was also plagued by injuries, including a season-ending injury to quarterback Jeff Hostetler.
Despite these challenges, the Raiders were able to win seven games in 1992. The team showed signs of improvement, and they were expected to be a contender in the AFC West in 1993.
