Air Force’s QB Belly G

Explore Air Force's powerful QB Belly G play, a key component of their #2 ranked rushing offense, driving explosive gains and touchdowns. Master elite option football with The Air Force Option Offense - The Complete Series.

Air Force runs both regular Belly G and QB Belly G, but what makes QB Belly G so much more dangerous is their ability to gain the advantage in the blocking scheme with an extra hat.

While this gap scheme is simple with down blocks away and pullers heading to the perimeter, the athleticism and numbers equalizer that the offense gains by being able to use the FB as a blocker allows this concept to create consistent chunk plays!

In this run scheme, the LG pulls and kicks while the slot back works to the LB.

The FB adds himself into the mix and works together with the pulling guard to sort out the picture and make a lane for the QB to run through.

In this example, the FB seals the widest defender and the QB runs off of the wall created off of the tail of the guard and slot back.

The massive lane to the outside combined with the QB’s ability to run the football allows Air Force to start this play on their own 6 yard line, and rush 94 yards all the way to the end zone for the score!
