Make Fly Sweep More Dangerous Using Play Action

Above is a pre-snap snapshot of Onalaska using fly sweep to create deception for the defense that will ultimately result in a big play for the offense!

The Hilltoppers are set with two receivers to the right and the H-Back and a single receiver to the left. The RB is aligned to behind and to the right of the QB.

By adding boot action with a pulling guard to a fly sweep play fake, the offense is able to send the defense in multiple directions and create lots of confusion and slow feet in the secondary…

The QB comes out of the mesh and boots to the field with the RB as the flat player in the event that a check down is needed.

The H-Back comes out of the backfield and runs a crosser through the deep middle of the field and the field WR stretches the defense vertically and away from the crosser.

The secondary gets their eyes caught and the backside safety triggers on the fly which causes his feet to pause and allows the H to run free downfield behind him.

The QB takes advantage of the opportunity created by the play fake and hits the H back across the middle which results in a HUGE gain!
